Mrs. Mary M. Odam, 77, Portland Arch, Ind., died early Tuesday, apparently of a heart attack, at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Gladys Franklin, 1317 S. Gilbert. Although she had been afflicted with a heart ailment for several months, death was unexpected. Mrs. Odam, a member of the Fountain Christian Church, had been visiting her daughter several days. She was born Jan. 19, 1872, in Portland Arch, the daughter of Isaac and Mary Dunklebreger Marquess. Her husband and a son preceded her in death. Surviving in addition to Mrs. Franklin are another daughter, Miss Florence Odam, Portland Arch, with whom she made her home, and a brother, Tom Marquess, Portland Arch. Services will be at 2 p. m. (DST) Thursday at the Portland Arch residence. The Rev. Mr. Walters will officiate, with burial in Fountain Cemetery. The body is at the Barrick & Sons Funeral Home where it will remain until Thursday morning when it will be taken to Portland Arch. --typed by Walt W
